Given that there's a sheet of panda 2011 that cost ten bucks more each than moose
We all know mintage panda is 6M, mintage moose is 1M

However we all know pandas if kept for 20 yrs in the long run definitely seek high premiums

So would u order a sheet of 2011 pandas or a tube of moose
Te price diff is only 10 bucks each

That's a tough call imo Panda vs Moose .. Since I have a nice Panda collection already, I'd probably go for the Moose, but if I didn't have the Panda's, I think I'd go with the 2011 Panda, but if you had asked about the 2012 Panda vs 2012 Moose, I'd say the Moose. But a lot of that is based on I don't like what China did for 2012 Panda's.

Cougar on the other hand is melt value on its best day imo, worst coin ever released.

Note that the Panda's have a huge problem with counterfeits though. Make sure you're buying from a reputable source and test its weight too.

if you are paying ~$45 for 2011 pandas I'd say that's a pretty good deal. The 2012 pandas cost that much. I'd go with pandas.

I've never seen a Moose and I own some 2011 Pandas, which I like.
So I would have to pick the Panda.
When I voted I thought it was for the Koala, I didn't have my glasses on.

Flip a coin or buy something you are sure of, no one is holding a gun to your head.

I wouldn't bet on that. But that's just MHO. Good luck either way.

I'd agree with Sal. Older date pandas have limited mintages. What was the 2011 mintage? I read somewhere that 2012 China is trying to make the Panda and common as the Eagle, but at $48 release price I'm not sure how successful they'll be but their churning them out anyway. Moose at 1M all the way, I got mine for $34.xx with shipping

I will go with the Moose coin any day of the week. To many fake Pandas out there. I also love the Cougar coin.

What if they were 2010 Pandas? I can get them for $55 but I have to buy the whole 30 coin sheet, egads, good deal or not?

The Cougar doesn't seem to get much love here, but I like it, too, despite my reservations. The musculature, tail and paws are no good, but within the sheen of the coin, the growl and forward motion of the cougar are what grab my eye.

Overall, I find the Wildlife Series to be a great idea, but with poor execution. The wolf has a weird, cartoony smirk, the grizzly is too distant, the body of the cougar is all out of whack, and the moose just leaves me underwhelmed. They are all still nice to have compared to a standard Maple, and I hope to see more mints do special series like it. If the POS doesn't jump too high next year, I would probably go for at least some of the rest of the series (salmon or another fish?, a bird other than a loon?, Bryan Adams?).
