Our local dealer was loaded too, 100's of Maples, Kooks, and Eagles. 2 weeks ago went to 4 different shops and everyone was dry except for a scarce few of those mexican coins. Said lots of buyers and sellers coming in the past week. Austin TX.......

Dealer here in Riverside Ca. has TONS of stock, some 100 oz old pour Englehard bars too. I wanted to pull the trigger on one but cash is a little tight. I buy BU Morgans and they seem to be getting harder to come by locally.

I think Morgans are the way to go when it comes to stacking, i know there has been 527 threads on this so we dont have to re-hash this issue however Morgans are slowly drying up in my opinion.

I am amazed anyone is suprised....Look at the market.

When silver/gold started heading south, all the talking heads became bearish, do you not think the market direction is driven by buying and selling??

Naturally those people that had bought to make a profit would go to the dealer and sell. A 10% drop in a few days does that..

Thierfore the dealers will have purchased, and have stock now where there was none in December.

When the trend revereses, the supply will dry up as well.

Would that be on West Dunlap Street?

Interesting to hear of local stocks - my closest dealer is 30+ miles, so I have patronized on-line stores. Provident Metals has 2011 Eagles, single or Monster box - but is out of many back dates. Provident has single maples, but no boxes & nothing but 2011s. Gainesville Coins has no Eagles ... APMEX seems pretty well stocked.

These are pretty big dealers - my conclusion is that stocks are thin.

Perth mint, no 5 ounce or ten ounce coins, no 100 ounce bars, no kilogram bars. Another forum member told me the large items are going overseas to fill orders.

Last weekend I went to two dealers locally. They didn't have many .999 bars or rounds. Most of what they had was numis or 90%.

Kitco got some proms in Silver Maples and aussie silver coins.
I thought first pick up lot of kook, koala but I limited myself.
Not many might recognise antipodian coins. Just for knowing them I bought a few.

No, I don't use that dealer. Most people do not like them. :p
