I will not sell my physical, but I may sell my AGQ shares since they are leveraged. I dont want to, but it would be hard to just sit there and watch it depreciate like 40%.

No, but there'll be 18 threads about it hitting 50 and "to da moon" and "how high will it go", just like it does everytime silver moves up a dollar. It'll be normal here in this forum. Wouldn't expect a 3 cent rise in price without the same threads. I've only been here a couple months and I can see that already! lmao

How many people do you think are waiting to cash out of the comex at 50? then think what could happen.

Just as many will buy in as cash out. That's why it's still in business! It'll be an even swap, nothing lost, nothing gained.

Personally I wish it would drop back to $10 for a few years, then sky rocket. I jumped in late and I'd like to play catch up, but if it dropped, everyone would bu as much as they could.

Local silver guy that I bought from yesterday said when it was $5 an ounce he couldn't sell anything, then it went to $12 and people jumped on it, now it's at $42 and he's moving it like it's water!

why would they bail at $50.?To duplicate the 1980 spike it would have to be about $200/oz.

..I look for people to remain steadfast & hold for higher prices.

Markets follow the path of maximum pain. That is still up for PM's. When silver hits 50 I think more people will become aware of the debasement of our currency and the 'pain' will increase.

I think we may see a rapid climb from 50 whenb we reach that level as fear increases.

$50 is just a "pump-brake" before an acceleration to $60...

Should bounce off of $60 like a rubber ball and get range bound in a $50 to $55 with bottom resistance being like 48.51

I bought in the teens, so I don't really care if it heads past $55. ("Hogs get slaughtered", etc.)

one thing to keep in mind is $50 has a bad "rep". there will be all kinds of; remember the last time this happened. now I'm not saying things are the same at all but it will get a lot of play, mostly from the MSM. might be a knee-jerk pullback but no collapse and then go for new highs.

This time around things are a lot different. Back in '80 coins shops had to hire guards as crown control. My local shop ALWAYS had 20-30 people in a line out the door looking to sell their silver. We don't have that yet, not even close. And this is about the time in '80 when silver shot from $42-50 almost over night. If this was 1980, we would only be weeks away from the crash. This is a whole new ball game.

My exact thought PG as when pd hit 161 after 160 in Oct 08 it was NO BIG DEAL all the way to 800 today.
I see a very easy path for ag to 1000 once we get through this buffoonish manipulation crap and the REAL supply/demand equation comes on the radar as it should.
3 BILLION Asians will rule the day pushing ag to 1000 within 2/3 years and cu to 80 as Dr. Stephen Leeb has predicted.

Based on what?

Sounds like fairy-tale numbers.

So did $42.00 back in Sept. 2010. What's your point?

Ya I wish us newbys who woke up right when it started going up (me 20$) could get a second crack at this so I can stack some serious weight 10Koz. 10$ Silver for 2 years would be a godsend. I wouldn't want anyone to go down in flames for my benefit but it would be nice knowing what I know now to be able to buy a 10oz bar for 100$ I could get to 10koz pretty fast and have a nice cushion to sit on.

Ah yes, climbing up to the 40th floor! Will we stop on the 39th or hit 40 and keep climbing? Think we'll hit 40 and bounce around a bit until the BIGS get used to the water. After a little breather we'll continue up the stairs to 50!

Happened!

Thought I'd knock the dust of this one. Looks like the breather is happening right on time. Almost time for "Go big money"! This next track to 50 will be quick. Once this Bull catches his breath and starts running again hold on. Believe he'll want to make an example out of the 19:D80 high by blowing right on past. Once the black magic number is overtaken, and the support base is built around 52, big deep pockets money will flood in and the mania will hit! I love Ag!!!!

Again, happening right on time! Here's your answer!

Who set their target for $42/oz? I didn't. Did you? If you did, then why?

I'm not saying silver won't reach those numbers, it will far exceed them. I'm wondering why it will bounce off $60 "like a rubber ball."

IMO its a "psychological resistence" number and is based on how much the talking heads are blabbing about crazy-brave short sellers laying out bets for major Silver drops in June/July. I think shorts show up just before $60 and dump on our parade all the way down to $40. From there we get back to $48-$50 and its suddenly 2012.

I know fundamentals support something different, but we will be dealing with short sellers and their actions have never really coincided with factual info anyhow!

So, yeah. You can expect some sort of "fantasyland bingo" shorting to go on this summer but its only going to contain silver for so long.

Does anyone feel ho-hum when we are only up $.40?

I hate to say it but we have had such a steady move up we now expect every day to be an up day.

It's hard to believe how our net worth has increased in the last couple of years.

Let it keep happening. :D :D

So long as you handle your silver the right way IE only trasfering it to buy other real physical assets instead of holding worthless paper I don't see any reason for it to crash.

What do you consider "worthless paper"?

Fiat currencies. The worst of which to be holding right now being $ as its gonna lose its reserve status to the SDR fairly soon.

And that only justifies owning gold and silver as the new currency is partially gold backed, their going to have to buy up large amounts which will push the value of our PM's even higher.

Personally I only intend to exchange my silver later down the line to buy houses for life long income.

I don't think most holders are thinking of it that way. Most holders don't have physical. The typical person influencing the silver market isn't a kitco stacker. Like some others said in this thread a lot of psychological stuff will be going on between here and 60 and even people that know silver is going up will be buying the dips and selling the highs trying to make that extra buck.
