I wanted to make a purchase today and the two LCD that I normally buy from don't seem to be open today. Lame.

So I called around to a few other stores that I do not normally buy from. I have an offer from one dealer to buy a 25 oz bar (Constitution Mint) for .50 over spot. I was hoping to only buy 10 oz today in assuming that silver will go lower and buy bigger later on. But even my normal LCD's don't do .50. They always do about .90-.95 on bars.

Good deal?

If you want it then it's a good deal.

Do you mean $xx over spot per OUNCE or for the whole bar?
Anyway, i have never seen a 25 oz bar, they are not very common. not sure about the mint you mentioned. Anyway, I think it depends on how much you want to spend over the next few months... If you can only afford 25 oz, I wouldn't blow it all today. If you can afford 100 oz then I would buy about 20 oz today and go from there.

This is just my opinion..

Great advice! I couldn't have said it better myself. I do think it's a great idea to buy today, just not to deplete all of your reserves in case it falls loer.

Well I ended up buying it. It was .50 over per ounce. The spot before premium was 33.72. I had heard of the mint before but never bought anything they had. I checked them out and the bar matches the 25 oz bars they sell on their website. Of course I still had it weighed and what not.

I have more to spend. Looking at about 75 oz for what I have in FRN's unless the price goes up soon. Hoping for high 20's but there seems to be a lot of resistance in the mid 33's.

I think I'm going to buy a little today as well (my LCS is only open on weekends, which limits my timing). I plan on buying once per week for the next 2 months, depending on price.
