I almost bought last night, on Thursday - and if I would have, I woulda saved almost $2 per ounce. It seems my preferred source of silver added an "extra" premium for the weekend, lol.

Anyways, of course, I am not sure if silver is going to go down or up on Monday. I am also in the camp that I believe $80+ silver will happen this year, so I do not want to wait too long.

I have my cart loaded up and am so eager to press CONFIRM - buuut what if this is a mistake?

Do I bite the bullet now, or do I wait until Sunday night market open to see what happens? What are you all doing?

The problem with this is that we've all seen silver add or drop DOLLARS within minutes.. and the charts show a very interesting trend up within the last hour of trading on Friday.

It looks like we need to come back down to 41.50 or so first, doesn't it?

Holla at me!

I've paid form 14 to 42 over the years and never regretted a buy yet. When it was dropping from 49, I bought at 42 and 35,36,38. These were all 100oz to 500oz purchases and I feel fine about all of them.
What I am saying is that I buy when I have the cash. You can coulda, woulda, shoulda forever and then wish you had bought.
BWT my DCA is still $22.86.

I remember arguing with my friend about whether we should buy at $28 or if we should wait for the next dip. The charts were showing signs of a new mountain peak forming, and we argued at lengths as we were splitting shipping costs, and he wanted to wait, I wanted to buy.

We ended up buying, but even for me it was hard since our last order was at $27.00/0z. It did dip for a few weeks, but that's what silver does.

Anyways, Fast forward not even a year.. Oh how I would have loaded up back then.

That's just my experience. Its going to go up, its going to go down. My suggestion? Spend half of what you were going to buy silver with on beer, smokes and strippers.

The next day, buying silver with the other half of your $$$ will seem like a no brainer. Unless you had one hell of a lap dance!

I rushed to my LCS this morning after watching the market yesterday and Asia last night. (my lcs is only open weekends) ha.

I'm not sure how much money you have invested already, and how much more you plan to add. But If you have a LCS you can go to or somewhere nearby, I would Buy this weekend with a portion of your funds, and continue to buy every week for the next month or however you want, depending how things turn out.

If you don't already have a core position then I would be buying more often. Good luck.

Welcome to the casino. What if it goes to 45 next week? will you still be waiting?

Just buy a bit at time, or you end up doing nothing... if the price drops, you'll hesitate. If it rises, you'll hesitate.

Well,

Here is the Futures end of the week report. We got beat out by a white substance,...sweet cane

http://finviz.com/futures_performance.ashx?v=12

Not a bad week. I remember Ag was suppose to tank with the end of QE2, a big Stock Market Plunge,... etc etc etc.

Not saying what next week will bring, but the rest of the world is buying i.e individuals and world banks. I am not sure if some banks are selling Gold, but the Buying of PM's worldwide is hot.

Long term is your friend for sure. If we go to 100/oz in Ag, then 25-35-45 right now is cheap. ANything can happen, but start a Stack, even if 2-5 oz's, Slow and Steady grows nicely over time.

My LCS was charging the lowest premiums on ASE since April of this year. That was nice to see. So if your lower target of what your looking at to buy starts to happen, keep in mind, that premiums may be 5-8 dollars, I don't know, but if so, you have to calculate that into your target price. Meaning,30 dollar spot Silver could cost you 35-38 in the end so, just by the dips.

We were at low 30's ( for a short time) I wonder how many of us missed that, ( I did ) so, just pull the trigger on some here and there.....if your thinking of becoming a long term stacker that is.

Just my 2 cents

LOL I was typing my post while you posted yours,.... We're on the same page. Stack On my Friend!

I got my first Maples today along with some ASE's. My LCS still won't buy 2011 ASE's as they are being charged upwards to a $6 premium so too risky for them. Got 09's and 2010's. I am happy with the amount of 2011's in my Stack, eventually I'll get more.

Look at it like this: silver still outperformed gold during last 3 years. So the recent strong gold increase is, based on past buyers/sellers trading behaviour, NO reason for silver price to now go up too.
And aside of that, despite all the warning/default/unable to pay bills - blabla before and after the debt ceiling increase, QE3 STILL didn't arrive. That means that the silver price floor, again based on past buyers/sellers trading behaviour, is STILL $32-33. It needs way over a trillion dollars to make $43 such floor.
The gold price is affected by banks buying/selling too, which may have a big influence regarding resistance price floors, but to achieve the same % gain as silver since first week september 2008, gold needs to go to $2300.
So, be very careful when buying silver at higher prices. You know where it can end, february-may was a $32 to $50 thus a 56% price increase spanning 3 months, that was annihilated in a matter of days. If you took care about your buying moments, such falling like a stone is NOT a reason to concern. It's a reason to get awake, and BUY.
The same applies as well to gold. There are indications that central banks are now net-buying gold. Some here consider that good news. But tell me, WHY do central banks buy gold? To protect them against Woooha Milky Way - interstellar central banks? Of course not. They want to be able to bring the price down, when they try to make their new (world?) fiatcurrency being used in a saving fashion.

Really, what do you expect from the precious metals?
To become rich while not not helping a damn thing in the economy?
Very few manage to do that, and if they succeed, you know at whose expense it was.
I bought most of my silver first week february, didn't buy for 3 months, then bought two larger chunks at two floor hits early may.
At current price, when I would sell it back to the same dealer I bought it, it would undo not only the tax I paid but also give me 12% more. On my bank account I would have had 2%.
House prices here rose 8% last year. So far, this year trends like a repeat. So silver didn't give me much gain. It avoided losses. And that is all I wanted.

Heck... just looking back at the last 12 months, gold was beat by corn, sugar, palladium... even rough rice! With Silver beating them all. Nice visual here to keep in mind when worrying about gold's $50 jumps vs silver's $1.50 jumps:

derick, derick, derick,

the time has come to think for yourself. do you not think when any of us decide to buy we are not taking the same chance.

afraid of the beatdown?

thats the way its supposed to work.

the best thing to do is dont let it intimidate you and stop you from doing the correct thing.

these bankers use centuries of psychology to steal your wealth. they have raided the smartest people they can find and brainwashed them to become minions of their masters bidding. they have convinced themselves temporaraly what they are doing is not a bad thing for X reasons.

remeber they are smarter than you (are they really?) and trying to trick you.

If you are in it for the long term, I would not worry about a couple dollar swing up or down at this point. Buy while you can.

Less than two months ago, silver was $33.5 a whole weekend long, and the same that say here now to buy, thus at $10 more, said then that it would drop.and to wait to buy.
The major fundamentals didn't change at all since then. Same amount dollars. Same silver production.
Take a guess what advice those give. The advice that benefits you... or them?
