Default Are Platypuses Pretty?

I'm thinking of picking up an ounce of platinum. I can get a bar for about $60 over spot, or a Platypus for about $130 over spot. Which do you think is the better deal? Is the 30,000 mintage for the Aussie Platypus a low number that will give this coin rarity value?

I do think the coin is pretty....and I like thinking of "platypus" as an abbreviation for Platinum Pussy! (I like cats.)

Male Platypusses must think that lady platypusses are pretty, otherwise there wouldn't be any more little platykittens......

I don't buy on rarity value but do prefer legal tender platinum coins over bars in general if the price is right. I think it is wise to be buying platinum but $130 premium would make me buy the bar if that was my only two choices.

i just picked up 2.. because i like the australian coins, and there is a 30k mintage.

pretty? compared to the eagles, these are Miss America!

Since i got two, i am waiting for my platypussies! So, to have the right of saying 'platypussies', you must buy more than 1!!
