Rangers (m)eh.
Born in a hospital on Long Island, by way of Brooklyn. The hospital has been converted into an old age home so I'm thinking about coming full circle.

Sarcasm is especially liable to be misunderstood when conveyed in written form, as the full spectrum of human communication such as tone of voice, facial expression, and body language, is not present (A forum such as this one is read by many people whose first language is not English). Therefore my advice would be not to use it, unless you are as skilful in your written language as Shakespeare or Mark Twain.
Most people understand but cannot stand sarcasm.

Sarcasm is a bitter root best eaten raw. Most sarcasm is derived from bitterness; not that I know anything about that.

Sarcasm is said to root during the first couple years of life, when a baby isn't given a soother as often as that baby wants it. Sarcasm won't be ingrained the first, second, or third time a baby is refused a soother; but over time parents can bring-up a cylinical person who expresses their extreme surprises through sarcasm.
