Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime. If you are serious about this, educate yourself. There are a lot of quality books out there.

Greenback... I don't have the time right now to educate myself by reading a book on all of these coins...this is a deal I can get by tomorrow. That's why we ask questions here...to get other's thoughts and opinions... if we all just read quality books...there would be no need for these forums..... but thanks for your response anyway....

That's a really difficult task...tried to do it (the math) in my head a few times w/o taking into consideration any key-date or semi-key date numismatic...I can tell you it's somewhere in the ball-park of $300 to $500. (common dates-no key dates) I wouldn't pay any more than $500., they probably won't sell for any less than $300.....I'd call it around $400.

Additionally ...condition of coins is a big factor...if they were all uncirculated it would drive the price over $1,000. easily...probably more like $5,000.

Need to review dates-mints and coin condition before putting down your money...in fact, better not to touch this deal at all if you not familiar with numismatics and what you're purchasing.

I think that's reasonable...you won't get robbed at 380 to 450...just make sure the condition of things looks good....not excessively worn or with holes in it.
