My favorite part of the article reads:

" China may well be approaching the revolutionary point where real interest rates turn negative, and purchasing gold becomes a costless opportunity, which in turn would send the price the yellow metal well north of $2,000."

Good article. It's good to know that inflaton is transitory there too.

I laughed when I read that in the article. .

I'm sure as time passes we will see more countries regard their inflation as being transitory, if there already arn't more.

Life is transitory also. Someone should shove an oversize cork in Benakes piehole.

i would think it would be, in a vacuum. For gold anyway.
There's many other factors effecting the market though. At the moment the budget talks in D.C. are I think most important. It's expected that in the end there's not going to be any grand changes and the yearly crisis will pass once again...but it would be a shock to the markets if there actually was an announcment of a grand compromise. I don't expect it, but it's a probability for the markets to take into account.
